Reading is my life

First of all: last week I got a letter saying the complaint filed against me was dismissed. So we can put that behind. Was really quick as well, since it was supposed to take 4 weeks, but they sent it out right before the school break, so yay!
Then: re-reading Harry Potter, again. I try to read them all once a year. I never get enough of them, ever. I remember when I read the first book for the first time: I was on a holiday in England with my parents in 2001 and I decided to pick up this book in the library because everyone around me was raving about them. I started the book on the beach and finished it pretty much the same night on the couch in our rented cottage in Kent. That whole holiday was amazing, it was my first time in England and I loved it there so much, felt so at home there. And then this book turned out to be awesome as well. That summer I picked up the other 3 books as well and remember finishing each book really late at night cause I couldn't put them down once I started to read in them.
I'm now 34 and I still have an amazing love for these books. I love the whole concept of magic and whenever I read the books I imagine a world like that actually truly existing and how I would love to live in such a world. I'm currently reading the 3rd book and it is one of my favourites, along with the 4th and fifth book. I think The Order Of The Phoenix is my absolute favourite, but I love them all so much.
I've got a friend who I gave the first book as a present last year cause she'd never read any of the books and was interested. She never finished it, said she didn't care for it much really. I was, and still am, shocked. But then again, books are so personal, just like music. I love books though. I love reading. I picked up reading again this year and have already purchased so many books. I love escaping this world and enter a whole different world. My goal for this year was to read a book a week, but so far I'm 13 books ahead of my goal. And when the Summer holiday arrives I might read even more books. I'm also still doubting about going on a holiday to Ireland again this summer, if only for all those lovely, English, bookstores. I need a bigger suitcase then though in order to bring home all those new books with me, heh.
Well…off to read I go again!
