So...I bought an external drive the other day. Because I want to digitalize my DVD collection and my MacBook Pro would not be happy with it. I wanted to add them all to iTunes and also move existing TV shows to the external drive. And then keep the music on my internal drive. I did not know how. If it was even possible. But it is! Super easy even! So now all my TV shows are stored on the external drive, but still show up and work in iTunes! How awesome!
The only thing that would brighten my day was if the whole ripping process could be speeded up a bit. It's going to take forever to rip/convert the DVD's. Worth it, absolutely! Especially since my precious 1TB time capsule is even willing to back-up the external drive! Ah, but TV shows on-the-go...and maybe movies later as well...it's just pure bliss!

Today was the day I sold my iMac and MacBook and got a new MacBook Pro for it in return! It was weird to part with them both, but I'm a sentimental bitch like that. I still feel a bit guilty for just dropping them off like that, even though I thanked them a million times for all they have done!
Anyway...when we arrived at the store/office the guy who I'd been emailing with back and forth found out, to his horror, he actually ordered the wrong MacBook Pro, or even didn't order at all. So...I just stood there, confused and upset. He was SUPER nice though and gave me some space and time to think. In the end he was willing to pay for both Macs, he even paid more than we agreed on and I could buy the MacBook Pro somewhere else. He even phoned a store nearby to see if they still had them. Which was the case!
So...now I'm typing from my new, fast, MacBook Pro. Transferring files from the Time Machine backup didn't go how I planned it (if I would have just acted patiently, no issues there), but in the end everything was transferred just fine. It took less than an hour to install the backup, then everything just worked as usual. Am really happy with it!
This one will have to last for a few years, but I think it will. Two video cards, 4GB of intern memory, 320GB hard disk, bigger screen (15") and just lovely.

I bought a Time Capsule today. 1TB. Had been wanting one forever, but when it was only 250/500GB big I thought it was too expensive. Then when the 1/2TB came along, I couldn't find any in my hometown and was too lazy to travel for it. I had a LaCie at home, but using it for Time Machine was a pain: noisy and slow. So I never used it when I started to use my MacBook instead of my iMac. Which meant I had no backups whatsoever, which is scary!
But today they had a TimeCapsule waiting for me and I bought it. Setting it up was too easy: old Airport settings were remembered and imported and that was that! Gotta love Macs! <3 And now I can make backups automatically again, travel through time and even make backups when I'm upstairs! Woohoo!

Tomorrow is the christening of Rosalie. I'll become her godmother which is too awesome really! Which reminds me that I need to write her card and wrap her present!

Oh...and despite me no exercising much the past couple of months and not even watching my food that much anymore I managed to lose about 2 kilo again! Which got me so excited! It also got me motivated again to work for it again. Am watching my food again and it feels okay. Losing weight will go slower, but it will happen. Which is wonderful!
