I bought American Doll Posse this Saturday. First listening round felt a bit odd and I wasn't too sure what to think of it. But I've been playing this album almost non-stop for the last couple of days and have to say I'm in love with it. Yes. There's a few songs on it I don't really like, but I like and love most of them.
Teenage Hustling is just amazing. Rock on Tori!
Smokey Joe...well THANK GOD for this song, it's kinda dark, kinda TVAB-era or something and it's simply STUNNING!
Father's Son is another song I absolutely love, love, LOVE, same goes for Girl Disappearing. And Dragon.
No, really, there's hardly a song it I really don't like, with the exception of Fat Slut (WTF???!!! and Posse Bonus (seriously...why?). I like it so much better than TBK, it's diverse, it's rocking, it's not overly produced as TBK was and Tori's voice sounds less annoying on this record.
It may not be her best album, but right now she comes 4th, even before SW.
