Today was Queensday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koninginnedag).
Gosh...I love this day SO much. People in orange EVERYWHERE, the atmosphere, just everything! LOVE IT!
We (mom, dad, sis and boyfriend) went to Amsterdam, again, 7th year in a row. You've got the Vondelpark there, which is only for kids that day: they sell their old toys, they play music, play games and music, perform. It's always lovely to be there (since I'm a big child myself, lol). We arrived there early, so it was still fairly quiet. When we left it was about 4 hours later, and really cramped, but that was fine, since we had seen pretty much all of it.
Then we decided to go to the museum square were you could see all sorts of bands and artists perform, for free. But as usual it was cramped, loads of teens and drunk people, so we left within 15 minutes.
It was too early to go home, so we went to a small town called Muiden where we enjoyed the sun, had a drink and lunch etc...
All in all such a fab. day. I've always enjoyed this day. I loved to sell my own stuff when I was younger (and earn loads of money) and now I just love to buy stuff for cheap.
Shame it's only once a year and we'll have to wait a whole year till a next Queensday. Let's hope the weather will be as lovely as today then!
