3 July 2015 23:02This moment, the first evening that announces a 5 week summer holiday, is always most precious. And also so extremely weird. The fact that another school year is over. On the first evening that's always a bit surreal.
We had drinks and dinner at my ex-boss's house this evening, after work, to celebrate the summer break. It was precious, as it always is. Our new boss wasn't there, because he didn't want to. I wish he was there, because this is who we are: a team. And he decided to not take part in it, which tells a lot.
And now the evening is short and te holiday still long, and fresh and new. Weekend trip to the south of holland, swimming exam of eldest niece, a holiday to Ireland and a trip to Germany. Just some of the things that will happen this holiday. It is good.
