A few years ago I had this room, all the way up there, and it contained everything I needed. I could overlook the trees and the skies. It was my own little world.
Had my precious 'Tori Sony message board' moments there (which later became The Pool), where I got in touch with some amazing people. I remember sneaking out of bed early in the morning, just to be able to read my messages etc...I can still picture myself on my bed, putting a book together for a dear friend, writing letters to Tori and other amazing people. Friday nights where I would crawl into bed before 10 and then watch E.R. and The Practice. Weekends where I had to babysit and came home late and then would just continue watching Discovery Channel cause there was an awesome show on. Weekends where I would go into town on Saturday morning, only to come home an hour or so later with some lovely bread and stuff to put on it. Sitting on my bed, watching Discovery Channel or some movie, eating my bread.
Summer holidays in which I read 4 Harry Potter books and finished two of them late at night. Summer holidays in which I watched some amazing children shows on the telly during the day.
Evenings I would just stare at the ceiling, watching my glow-in-the-dark stars and pretending to be outside, somewhere.
This one time I was really sick, and I just watched TV all night long, then fell asleep and got woken up by some children's show I loved. And I really was in my early 20's ten.
Those 6 years I spent in that amazing, top floor bedroom are years I just can't seem to ever forget and cherish. I have so many great memories hidden there and there are days, like today, I wish I could go back in time and re-live those moments. Cause those 6 years were the best 6 years of my life.
