Ireland oh Ireland
18 December 2008 18:25I could write about all the stress at work from this week. Or about how brain-dead I feel. Or about how tired I am. How I long for the Christmas break. How some colleagues annoy the shit out of me. But let's not.
Let me write about something lovely, something that put a smile on my face today. It was coffee-break at school. So all teachers were gathered together. And some parents too, that were helping out some teachers today. And one of the parents, well, she somehow noticed my holiday card on one of the walls (that's been hanging there for MONTHS!). Turned out she's Irish! And she was pleasantly surprised to find out that someone went there on a holiday. So we started to talk, about Ireland. A mix from both Dutch and Irish (English). And for a moment I was back in Ireland. She's from the Cork region, so her accent is the cutest! And it put a smile on my face. In between all the stress from this week, the tiredness, the annoyances, I met someone from Ireland. That was cool!
