Ireland here I come!
12 May 2008 16:45I just booked my one week holiday to Ireland. Didn't think at first I was going to be able to actually just going there, since the trip that I had planned in my head wasn't working out at all! But then I decided to let go of that trip and just see if I could make it back to Killarney only, after all, that's the place my heart lies. And I can take trips from there, since it's located near a lot of great sightings. I found a lovely guesthouse that got a lot of good, warm critics, but it took me a whole day to actually just book it, plus the flight. I normally try to stay at hostels as much as possible (in my own room cause I need that), because it's often a lot cheaper than B&B's, Hotels and Guesthouses. But I couldn't just find a nice hostel that I wanted to stay in. The only thing that stopped me from booking this guesthouse immediately, was that it's (somewhat) more expensive than a hostel. But the benefits are that now breakfast is included (wich, from the reviews, is a real treat!) and it isn't as huge, cramped and noisy as a hostel can be.
I'm so excited now! Am going back to Killarney for a full week, might be able to explore some parts of the west I haven't yet explored, but most of all...I'm just going back to the place I call my second home. All I really worry about is the weather. I'm going there the second week of July and just like in Holland, the weather can either be okay, or just really terrible, especially in July so it seems... Last year I was actually pretty lucky with the weather, but it's still not sure I'll end up with a dry week that week, or a week full of showers...Let's just cross fingers and hope for the best!!!
