Christmas is all over and done with again. Unlike the rest of the world, here in Holland we have 2 days of Christmas: December 25th & 26th.
Yesterday I went over to my parents, with my sister and her boyfriend being there as well. We arrived at about 11.30 and just had a nice day. We watched I Am Sam together, just chatted and had a lovely dinner together. Nothing too fancy, but lovely anyway.
Then this afternoon my parents visited me. We went for a walk in the afternoon and at one point my dad asked me how I thought of last year. I told him that it felt pretty numb last year. And then he looked up to me and said "Well, I think this year has been an important year for you. You've opened up yourself a lot more, you seem to be more at peace with life and yourself and you just seem to be more grown up". I never really thought much changed or happened this year, but both him and my mom noticed the differences.
So sometimes you're not aware of something while other people are. Made me feel good about myself.
Something not so funny: I think my brand new iMac has to be returned to the store. I have screen issues. And they're getting worse. I've never had any issues with Macs before in all those years I've used them, so it's shocking! I guess it's a hardware/graphic ware issue. My dad offered to take me back to the store where I bought it, where they also have technical support etc...
Just sad to have it returned to the store though...
