BFP appreciation post
9 August 2004 20:40Listening to Boys For Pele again. Can't ever get enough of that album. Such a great, great album. I just ripped Beauty Queen/ Horses apart. Now I can play Horses without having to deal with BQ all the time. Excellent! Not that I don't like Beauty Queen, it's just, sometimes I'm so not in the mood for Beauty Queen and just want to hear Horses instead. Now it's all possible, lol.
And I don't think there will ever be any kind of album released by just anyone that can make BFP move to a second place. This album is just so perfect. It has my most favorite song of all on it (Horses), but it also just has Father Lucifer, Marianne, Muhammad My Friend, Caught A Lite Sneeze, Talula, Not The Red Baron, Doughnut Song, In The Springtime Of His Voodoo and Twinkle on it. There's hardly a song on that album I don't like, except for Professional Widow. I so don't like that song at all.
But BFP...well...she's just magic. Makes me calm again, still takes me on her magical journeys. I breathe her in, she's in my vein.
And right now i'm listening to Doughnut Song. This song get's more and more beautiful the more I listen to it.
So thanks Tori, for recording this album. Couldn't have done the things i do now without it I guess. She's my soul album :)
ooh...and I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuv me the intro to Voodoo...that intro rocks...I absolutely love it!!!! I especially love it on the Sellout bootleg...that whole bootleg rocks btw, but this song especially rocks on it! (and CALS and the cute intro to Muhammad my friend!)
